What's inside
Sheets
January … DecemberTwelve month tabs, one per month. Each has the month title merged across the top, a Sun–Sat header row, and a 6-week grid of dates. Click any day cell and type your event.YearAll twelve months as mini-calendars in a 3×4 layout on a single sheet — the year-at-a-glance overview for planning around holidays and quarters, where you can see at once that July 4, 2026 lands on a Saturday and December 25, 2026 on a Friday.
Columns
- Sun–Sat headerRow 2 of every month tab labels the seven weekday columns. Weeks start on Sunday, matching most US wall calendars.
- Date cellsRows 3–8 hold the day numbers in a tall 6-week grid. Cells before the 1st and after the last day are left blank so the shape matches the real month — February 2026 runs 1–28 because 2026 is not a leap year.
- Day note areaEach date cell is sized for writing — 40-point row height, top-left aligned — so an appointment or reminder fits on the same line as the number.
Formulas that do the work
The grids hold plain day numbers, not formulas — the dates are filled in from the real 2026 calendar at build time. If you ever need to confirm which weekday a date lands on, drop this into a spare cell.
Returns 5 for January 1, 2026 (Thursday) using the Sunday=1 convention, which is exactly why the January tab leaves the first four cells blank before the 1st.
How to use it
Open the month you need
Click a sheet tab along the bottom —
JanuarythroughDecember— or open theYeartab to see all twelve months at once.Type events into the day cells
Click any numbered cell and start typing. Press Alt+Enter to add a second line inside the same cell when a day has more than one item.
Mark key dates with color
Select the day cells for holidays or deadlines and apply a Fill Color from the Home tab, or use conditional formatting to flag a recurring weekday automatically.
Print a clean month
Each month tab is sized to fit a single sheet. Use File → Print, pick the active tab, and follow print on one page if your printer crops the grid.
Reuse it for another year
Edit the title cell, then shift the day numbers so the 1st sits under its new start weekday —
=WEEKDAY(DATE(2027,1,1),1)returns the column to begin in. Or just keep 2026 as your reference: January 1, 2026 is a Thursday and December 31, 2026 is also a Thursday.

Merged title cells and the 6-week grid import cleanly into Google Sheets via File → Import → Upload; check the print area under File → Print before sending a month to paper.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this 2026 calendar template free to download?
- Yes, and the printouts stay clean: no watermark, footer credit, or logo appears on any month you put on paper. Pin a page to the fridge or circulate one around the office — the calendar looks like yours, because it is.
- Does the week start on Sunday or Monday?
- Every grid starts on Sunday, with a Sun–Sat header row, matching most US wall calendars. To switch to a Monday start you would re-shift each month's day numbers by one column.
- How do I print one month on a single page?
- Open the month's tab, choose File → Print, and set the option to print the active sheet only. Each month tab is already sized to fit one page; the print on one page guide covers margins and scaling.
- Can I add events or notes to specific days?
- Yes — click a day cell and type. Press Alt+Enter for a second line in the same cell, and widen the column or raise the row height if you need more room for longer notes.
- Will it open in Google Sheets?
- Yes. Go to File → Import → Upload in Google Sheets and pick the file. The monthly tabs, the
Yearoverview, and the merged month titles all carry over intact.
